Committee Member (President 2016-2021)

Bassel graduated from Notre Dame de Jamhour in 1998. He is a Mechanical Engineer by education, graduating from the American University of Beirut in 2002. He also received a Master’s In Engineering Management with a focus on Financial Engineering from Cornell University in 2003.  He joined the board of JAUS in 2015.

Bassel is a Managing Director at BNP Paribas where he heads the Mortgage Structured businesses since 2016.
Prior to that, he was the Co-Head of the Agency Structured Mortgage businesses at Barclays Capital from 2014.
Bassel has spent the majority of his career working on Wall Street in the mortgage industry.
